Tastebuds Fly High





All my life, I’ve never consider to eat wings for any meals, because back then I thought wings were just a waste of money. Seriously what could you possibly eat in wings? There’s barely any meat in it and it’s just plain skin and bones. But finally my perception in wings have changed. Last week, me and my family ate at Buffalo’s Wings and Things. At first i was kind of hesistant to dine there cause it thought  that the price would be too much for what its worth. I am a quantity over quality type of guy when it comes to food. Of course, the taste would really matter and I am very picky in terms of that. But satisfaction for me always depends on whether or not, I become full on a meal. That was why I was hesitant on trying to dine in this restaurant. However, I was proven wrong the minute I saw their menu. There was this promo that took may attention. It’s called “All-Day Grandslam Everyday” which was good for 4. For a price of 699, the promo includes 1 pound Champion Buffalo Wings, 2 baskets of No Bones Fun Chicken Tenders, 4 Ny Dirty Rice, and you can choose you sides between Bacon and Cheese Fries and Chick’n Quesadilla. We then decided to eat here since we all agreed that payment would be satisfactory. We immediately got a seat and we ordered the promo we wanted. We were asked what flavor our wings and chicken tenders would taste. They explained the different flavors we would choose from. Then we waited for like 30 minutes, my mom and sister were already complaining about how slow their service was. But since the promo got me interested in tasting those wings, I just said that “at least you know they are making it fresh”. So our order came and I was surprised by the amount of food at the table there were 4 flavors of chicken you can taste, and I can say that all of them tasted great. Then the good thing there is everytime you finish a basket they would ask you if its okay for them to get the empty basket so that you’ll have space. There were like 4 pieces of chicken left and we were already full. I can say that the value here is low price and getting what I want from what i give.

Every after class, no matter what the time was, I always went to this famous dimsum house just along Dapitan street. Ever since my first year in college, I was always cautious of how much money I spend everyday, since my allowance is very limited. I never thought that I’d be the money-saving type of guy, because price never mattered that much to me before. As long I was able to enjoy myself in a meal, I was okay with that.  Until I got into college where every decision should be carefully made, even in terms of food. This is where I started to learn that price does matter instead of just the quality. A quality of something would even be more appreciated if it was also achieved in an affordable price. This is what Angkong is. Among all the other affordable food stalls/restaurants around the university, this is the place I always come back to. SM North Edsa Cinema

SM North has been the ideal mall for me since it’s the mall I have grown quite fond of. It’s a one stop shop, so whenever we go there, we do lots of things from doing groceries, dining at a restaurant, shopping clothes and sometimes we watch at their cinemas. I can say that the cinemas in SM North Edsa are really big, and through time they have expanded and added new cinemas to accommodate the demand of customers. Though as they expanded their cinemas, their prices also changed, the price I remember in 2014 was 190-200, but recently it has changed to 260-290. I think that their way of order-taking has a room for improvement. It is because there often are long lines whenever there are brand new movies in stall. Instead of people waiting in long lines to get their tickets, there should be more ticket counters so that this problem could be avoided. However, I agree with the way they segregated the lines to lessen the trouble and make it more organized by putting up a senior citiz

Karaoke Hub

My girlfriend and I have always been fond of going to karaoke booths or hang-out places. The Karaoke Hub located in SM North has been one of our go-to's whenever we were in the mood of spending quality through fun karaoke. Despite it having a slightly expensive price, the service and facilities were good by the staff and brought to the Karaoke room, The rooms were well air-conditioned and very neat. But aside from the facilities, the song were also up to date which is why it was not hard for us to choose the songs that we would like to sing. However, it feels like the time is too short for the payment that it costs per session
